Stylist and
co owner of Sterling Salon, Javier Oropeza has been making his
mark on the salon world for over two decades. His unique perspective
on hair structure, texture and color has amassed a large following
of loyal clients. His work in television, film, print, product
development, and as an educator have rounded out his talent.
Born in California he began pursuing
a career as a graphic artist. Instead he turned his focus to the
art of hair styling, where he continues to hone his skill. “I
feel that an artist has the unique ability to see the finished
product before they begin.” Says Javier, “Through
consultation you can gather all the information needed to give
the client the results they desire.”
Now as a salon owner and team leader
he is focusing on creating a unique and creative atmosphere for
his staff and clientele to enjoy. “We want to
develop and grow a culture where everyone can relax and know this
is the place they need to be.”
Javier’s success depends on
his innate ability to connect with each client, to create a personal
look based on his understanding of their lifestyle, along with
his artistic eye for proportion and sensitivity to the particular
nature of their hair.

For 12 years Todd has been perfecting
the art of coloring hair, he is a foremost expert on hair color.
Todd has worked with virtually every color and texture while building
a loyal clientele, from the famous to the infamous. He is known
as an honest, to the point stylist and as a perfectionist. He takes
his time not rushing or passing you onto an assistant. Truly a
hands-on guy.
Color correction is no problem for
him, he can take a broken blonde and convert her into a soft honey
kissed blonde with dimension, shine, and health. Or a drab brunette
and give her depth and dimension. Todd truly cares about the integrity
of the hair. Blonde on blonde to copper reds he knows how to create
natural looking hair color.
Todd has trained at Vidal Sassoon
and with the top color lines and companies, he knows his work!
Todd's a classic stylist: his cutting work is clean, classic, precision.
He stays true to the art of cutting. If you want true classically
beautiful hair Todd is your guy.
Todd is now certified in the Brazilian
Blowout treatment and says, "It's a colorist's best friend,
It evens out the cuticle of the hair shaft, locks in color/
shine and locks out frizz/dullness."

Bryan Foster
Cummins began his unofficial career as a hair artist in his teens.
He started out cutting and coloring irreverant and creative styles
in a self-proclaimed "chop
shop," located in the garage of his parents house in Albuquerque,
New Mexico. Experimenting with different styles, cuts and colors
on friends always proved to be "interesting" at the very
least. Trained in extensive
cutting and color techniques in the tradition of Vidal Sasoon,
he is a precision cutter with an eye for color and a decade of
expericence behind the chair. Picking up on even the most subtle
shades and tones, he can tailor a look made exclusively for you.
He is very expercienced in corrective color and working with all
different types of hair textures. Having come a long way from the
days of punk inspired circus chic, Bryan now specializes in blonds
and natural looking color palettes. No one needs to know you weren't
born with those highlights! His talent and skills have built him
a clientele of studio executives, models, students, business professionals,
housewives and entertainers. Currently at Sterling Salon and Spa
clients from both coasts offer him their patronage.
Bryan believes that
continuing education is key when it comes to staying inspired and
changing with the times. Having a beginner's mind keeps things
fresh and open to creative strokes of genius. He has been an educator
for Schwarzkopf as well as several salons and companies. He has
mentored dozens of apprentices and assistants in their post graduate
studies. It is his philosophy that success is acheived through
listening, a solid consultation, and clear vision of where you
are headed.
Naturally concerned with wholeness and well being, Bryan is always
looking out for ways to become more green and sustainable in the
salon. He is pleased to offer organic alternatives to conventional
coloring which are better for you and the environment.

Growing up as third generation
stylist, style and fashion comes naturally to Megan Titus. Her
first job as a teenager was working as a receptionist in her grandmothers
salon, so after graduating high school it only seemed appropriate
for Titus to go to beauty school.
In 1999 Titus enrolled in Redwood Empire Beauty Collage. Shortly
after graduating she went onto assist for a year and half at a
salon Marin County. By 2000 Titus was on the floor as a full time
stylist at the Metrodome in Santa Rosa, CA, where she worked for
several years before moving to San Diego in 2003.
Titus furthered her clientele and skills at the upscale Atilieer
salon in La Jolla, CA. Shortly after moving south, her success
allowed Titus to become and independent contractor and sought after
colorist. Joico approached Titus to join their team as a color
educator and runway stylist where Titus worked at some of the most
prestigious events, such as the Golden Globes and the Oscars.
In 2005 Joico presented Titus with their “Best New Stylist” award.
Wanting to further her career and her interest in working within
film and TV, Titus moved to Los Angeles the end of 2005. She began
doing hair and make up for independent films, music videos and
commercials. In 2006 Titus acted as lead stylist for two films
Kiss the Bride and Irish Twins. Titus performed special effects
make up for Irish Twins a production directed by Rider Strong of
Boy Meets World.
Currently Titus is working
as a stylist Sterling Salon and Spa in Studio City. She is still
working for film and TV but is striving to find a position as
Creative Director with a company that she has the ability to
grow with.
